Independent and family-run, we opened Mele e Pere in the heart of Soho in February 2012. We wanted to create a genuine neighbourhood Trattoria reminiscent of the fabulous family-run places of northern Italy, where we grew up.
You should feel just as comfortable popping in for a glass of home-made vermouth and some sharing plates at the bar as you should taking your time to work through the menu in the dining room.
We cook our seasonal and daily-changing menu with British produce and exceptional Italian ingredients. All of our bread, pasta, desserts and ice-creams are made in our kitchen fresh every day. Our Italian wine list celebrates independent and biodynamic producers and there’s loads of choice available by the glass and carafe.
We recently opened our sister restaurant Gotto Trattoria in Canalside Hackney Wick, where we serve a daily-changing menu of hand-rolled pasta, quality British fish and meat and seasonal Italian ingredients.
With home-made vermouth, our house blend spritz and our signature bottled negroni, Gotto is a little slice of the Italian Riviera on Canalside Hackney Wick.
